LAQ 1

1. I read the perks of being a wallflower and its told in first person and is about this kid whos just starting high school and just before school starts his best friend kills him self and the book is about how and what its like to go through high school for the main character.

2. The theme of the book is what its like to go through high school.

3. The way Charley tells it (the main character) is he writes these letters to the stranger and these letters are what we read and what makes up the book and so his tone is more empethetic.

we accept the love we think we deserve.”
― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower
“So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be.”
― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower
“I think that if I ever have kids, and they are upset, I won't tell them that people are starving in China or anything like that because it wouldn't change the fact that they were upset. And even if somebody else has it much worse, that doesn't really change the fact that you have what you have.”
― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower

LAQ 2

1. I read Go ask alice and this is being read in first person and is about a girl who trys drugs and her decent in to the life of drugs an what her life is because of the drugs.

2. The theme of the book is the how drugs can effect your life.

3. The tone of Go ask alice is more of a moral and whats right and wrong.

“I'm partly somebody else trying to fit in and say the right things and do the right thing and be in the right place and wear what everybody else is wearing. Sometimes I think we're all trying to be shadows of each other, trying to buy the same records and everything even if we don't like them. Kids are like robots, off an assembly line, and I don't want to be a robot!”
“I really am only one infinitely small part of an aching humanity.”
― Beatrice Sparks, Go Ask Alice
“The same old dumb teachers teaching the same old dumb subjects in the same old dumb school. I seem to be kind of losing interest in everything. At first I thought high school would be fun but it's just dull. Everything's dull. Maybe it's because I'm growing up and life is becoming more blase.”
― Beatrice Sparks, Go Ask Alice
