DERBY REPORTAGE
In the artical of the Kentucky Derby by Hunter S. Thompson's i find its very interesting how he writes it. instead of writing as many others would like in a magazine or in newspaper he writes if he was writing it from a journal or a diary that just explains what he experienced when he was over at the derby.he tells the reader what he experienced in person and has some valuer language through out the story.
Johnney Cyberpunk
Is a cyberpunk story. we learned about this in class and cyberpunk is science fiction or close to earth. The creation of things is cyberpunk Gonzo journalism is different than cyberpunk because its often written in first person and the reporter puts himself into the story.

Introducing Facts on Samuel Beckett
Samuel Beckett was born on Good Friday, April 13, 1906
Despite his reputation in the world of drama, Beckett wrote novels, short stories, and poetry for nearly two
decades before turning his attention to plays.
Nearly all of the English-language premieres of Beckett’s plays were directed by Alan Schneider. The two maintained a close working collaboration until Schneider’s death in 1984.
Although an Irishman, Beckett was of French descent. Many of his most famous works, including Waiting for Godot, were originally written in French and later translated into English.
In the early 1980s, Beckett attempted to shut down a production of Endgame directed by the well-respected Joanne Akalaitis. Beckett’s primary reason was that Akalaitis disregarded his stage directions and changed the setting of the play to a subway station.
The American premiere of Waiting for Godot featured Bert Lahr, best known for his performance as the Cowardly Lion in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.

poem
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”

LAQ 1
1. I read the perks of being a wallflower and its told in first person and is about this kid whos just starting high school and just before school starts his best friend kills him self and the book is about how and what its like to go through high school for the main character.
2. The theme of the book is what its like to go through high school.
3. The way Charley tells it (the main character) is he writes these letters to the stranger and these letters are what we read and what makes up the book and so his tone is more empethetic.
“
we accept the love we think we deserve.”
― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower
“So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be.”
― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower
“I think that if I ever have kids, and they are upset, I won't tell them that people are starving in China or anything like that because it wouldn't change the fact that they were upset. And even if somebody else has it much worse, that doesn't really change the fact that you have what you have.”
― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower
LAQ 2
1. I read Go ask alice and this is being read in first person and is about a girl who trys drugs and her decent in to the life of drugs an what her life is because of the drugs.
2. The theme of the book is the how drugs can effect your life.
3. The tone of Go ask alice is more of a moral and whats right and wrong.
“I'm partly somebody else trying to fit in and say the right things and do the right thing and be in the right place and wear what everybody else is wearing. Sometimes I think we're all trying to be shadows of each other, trying to buy the same records and everything even if we don't like them. Kids are like robots, off an assembly line, and I don't want to be a robot!”
“I really am only one infinitely small part of an aching humanity.”
― Beatrice Sparks, Go Ask Alice
“The same old dumb teachers teaching the same old dumb subjects in the same old dumb school. I seem to be kind of losing interest in everything. At first I thought high school would be fun but it's just dull. Everything's dull. Maybe it's because I'm growing up and life is becoming more blase.”
― Beatrice Sparks, Go Ask Alice
Im looking for my third one and will post it when i find it thank you.
